Who Is Trent Sweeney?
Trent Sweeney is an American former child actor and current US Air Force staff sergeant. He is the only sibling of Sydney Sweeney, star of Euphoria, Anyone But You and The Housemaid, and he has largely avoided the spotlight despite his sister’s fame, appearing publicly only occasionally.
His story stands out precisely because of the contrast: while Sydney built a career in front of cameras, Trent chose service, discipline and anonymity — a choice his sister has publicly celebrated.
Trent Sweeney Age, Early Life and Education
Trent Sweeney was born around 2001 in Washington State, making him about 25 years old in 2026. He is the son of Lisa Sweeney (née Mudd), a former criminal defense attorney, and Steven Sweeney, who worked in the hospitality industry.
The family lived in a rural lakeside area near the Washington-Idaho border, spending time in Spokane’s South Hill neighborhood and at a nearby lake house, before relocating to Los Angeles to support Sydney’s acting career. Trent graduated from Sumner High School in 2018 and later attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.

Trent Sweeney’s Early Acting Roles
As a child, Trent Sweeney tried acting alongside his sister, appearing in films such as The Opium Eater and Norman (2010), as well as in short films. Unlike Sydney, however, he did not pursue acting as a full-time career, and his screen work remained brief — a childhood chapter rather than a profession.
Trent Sweeney’s Air Force Career
In April 2020, Trent Sweeney left for US Air Force basic training. Sydney marked the moment publicly, writing: “My little bro leaves for basic training tomorrow. Wishing you luck bud when the going gets tough just remember your sister is tougher than you.” He formally enlisted by August 2020.
Since then, he has served in munitions roles, including with the 48th Munitions Squadron, whose personnel are known as “ammo troops,” with postings in Korea and England among other places. In August 2025, he was promoted to staff sergeant, an achievement he shared on social media.
Deployment in 2026
In March 2026, Sydney Sweeney shared a screenshot of a video call with her brother in uniform, writing: “Receiving calls from my bro always make me happy when he’s deployed,” and adding her thanks to all service members overseas. She did not confirm where Trent was deployed, and speculation linking the deployment to any specific conflict remains unconfirmed — his exact location has been kept private.
Trent Sweeney’s Family and Relationship With Sydney
Trent is Sydney Sweeney’s only sibling, and the two share a close bond that has survived very different life paths. Sydney has spoken about their childhood near Spokane and the family’s sacrifices — including selling their Washington home in 2013 and her parents’ later bankruptcy and divorce — that shaped both siblings.
Trent’s relationship status and private life are not publicly known, and he keeps no widely public social media presence tied to his service.
Trent Sweeney Net Worth
Trent Sweeney’s net worth is not publicly reported by any reliable source. As a US Air Force staff sergeant, his income comes from military pay, which is set by rank and years of service. Any net worth figure found on biography sites should be treated as speculation.
